WWE legend Michelle McCool blasts a fan over a fabricated quote about her career.
An X/Twitter account with the username @Eromina_Mutairu posted an image of WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool with her husband, The Undertaker. The picture featured a quote, attributed to McCool, which read, “I am in the Hall of Fame because I revolutionized women’s wrestling. Not because I am married to Undertaker.”
The user took a shot at the former Divas Champion, asking, “Lmao.. Can anyone name one memorable Michelle McCool match?” The fan essentially insisted that her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame was largely due to nepotism, as she is The Undertaker’s wife.
The post prompted a response from Michelle McCool, who denied saying the quote and blasted the fan, calling them dumb. She wrote, “Nah BUT I can name one quote I never said #sodumb.”
The Undertaker shuts down a backstage rumor about him and Michelle McCool
Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker buried a longstanding rumor that he used his backstage influence to get Michelle McCool a push.
“I think as equally as proud of my wrestling accolades is the way that I’ve been perceived and the way that my peers respect me, and at the end of the day, that’s really all that matters to me,” The Undertaker said. “I have a very, very small inner circle of people that I actually care what they think of me.
“The people that are in the locker room, the guys that I shared the dressing room with, I care about what they think. I’m pretty sure if you ask 99.5% of the guys that I’ve ever been in a dressing room with or worked in a territory with, they’re going to tell you that, as much clout as I supposedly have, or even if I do, I never, ever would have used it for that kind of crap,” he said about the Michelle McCool rumor.
“It’s absurd that people get on the internet and can use words like ‘reliable sources’ and this and that, and everybody believes it. I’m not going to give anybody that kind of satisfaction of me having to explain myself. Anybody that doesn’t believe any of that.
