WWE Hall Of Famer Shuts Down Oba Femi Burial Concerns After Brock Lesnar Loss

Oba Femi’s loss to Brock Lesnar at WWE Clash in Italy sparked plenty of debate among fans. However, one WWE Hall of Famer believes concerns about the rising star’s future are being blown far out of proportion.

Speaking on Busted Open following the PLE, Bully Ray addressed the online reaction that emerged after Lesnar evened his rivalry with Femi.

While some fans feared the defeat could derail one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars, Bully Ray made it clear that he sees the situation very differently.

Bully Ray believes Brock Lesnar loss will help Oba Femi

The discussion followed Clash in Italy, where Lesnar defeated Femi in their highly anticipated rematch. The result surprised some fans because Femi had previously defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, seemingly ending The Beast’s WWE run after Lesnar left his boots and gloves in the ring.

However, the former WWE Champion returned weeks later and challenged Femi to another match. Even in defeat, the Ruler pushed Lesnar to his limit. It took seven F-5s, including one through the announce table, before Lesnar could finally secure the victory.

Addressing criticism from social media, Bully Ray delivered a strong message:

“To anybody that took to social media to show concern for Oba Femi, to anybody who’s listening to us this morning, concerned about Oba Femi, who think they did the wrong thing last night with Oba Femi, who thinks Oba Femi’s push is going to be affected, who think Oba Femi is getting buried, if you think one negative thing about Oba Femi’s future in the WWE because of what happened last night in losing to Brock Lesnar, you’re wrong. Oba is fine. He’s going to be fine. And when this is all said and done, Oba will be a bigger star for it because that’s all Brock Lesnar does is make the people that he knows in his heart deserve to be made.”

Any worries about Femi’s momentum coming to a halt did not carry weight on the following episode of RAW. Just one night after Clash in Italy, the powerhouse rebounded with a major King of the Ring tournament victory. He defeated Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, and Penta in a Fatal Four-Way match.

Femi also made it clear that his rivalry with Lesnar hasn’t etched its final chapter. After RAW, he reminded the WWE Universe that the series now stands at 1-1. Moreover, he vowed that the two will cross paths again.

For now, WWE’s booking suggests Femi remains firmly in the main-event conversation. Rather than being buried, The Ruler appears to be building toward the next chapter of his rivalry with one of the industry’s biggest attractions.
