WWE’s Danhausen Accused of Blackmailing the New York Knicks Ahead of NBA Finals

Stephen A. Smith accuses WWE‘s Danhausen of blackmailing the New York Knicks ahead of the big NBA finals.

After cursing the New York Knicks before the playoffs, WWE’s Danhausen reversed it after the team trailed 2-1 against the Atlanta Hawks. Since then, the Knicks won a record 11 straight playoff games to enter the finals at 12–2. The Very Evil, Very Nice star didn’t hesitate to take credit for the insane comeback.

Ahead of the NBA final between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, Danhausen appeared on ESPN First Take. He asked Stephen A. Smith for his own TV show, more human money, and court-side seats if he wants the uncursing to continue.

It is I, Danhausen here. Battle damage (points to himself), speaking of which, I won my match, and as you all know, the Knicks have been winning their matches. Swept. So, speaking of which, Stephen A. Smith, your checks have cleared so far. However, if you want to keep this uncursing going, perhaps Danhausen’s going to need his own TV show, or more monies, or perhaps those court-side seats, no big deal. You have until tip-off time to decide what happens with the curse.”

Stephen A. Smith accused Danhausen of blackmailing the Knicks

Responding to Danhausen, Stephen A. Smith said that the WWE star is dampening his reputation by engaging in blackmail.

“I didn’t hear the demands. The producers was in my ear. Thank God I didn’t hear what he has to say. I mean, people that are serious about this stuff, they don’t blackmail you. They take their position, and they hold to it. He’s trying to blackmail. That does not work. He’s dampening his reputation by engaging in blackmail,” Stephen A. Smith said about Danhausen.
