Je’Von Evans took a major step forward on the June 8 episode of WWE RAW in Paris, France, advancing in the King of the Ring tournament after surviving a chaotic Fatal Four-Way main event featuring Seth Rollins, Ricky Saints, and Talla Tonga.
The 22-year-old rising star entered the match as the least experienced competitor in the field. However, by night’s end, he had found a way to outlast some of WWE’s biggest names.
While the road to the crown is far from over, Evans now finds himself firmly in the tournament spotlight.

The match was anything but straightforward. Early on, Talla Tonga dominated the action with his size and power. Ricky Saints briefly attempted to align himself with the MFT member before being met with a boot instead of a partnership.
As the contest progressed, all four competitors traded momentum in a fast-paced battle. Evans repeatedly showcased his athleticism, surviving heavy offense from Tonga and exchanging counters with both Saints and Rollins. At one point, the young star even landed on his feet during a Tower of Doom sequence, drawing a strong reaction from the Paris crowd.
The closing moments turned into a perfect example of WWE’s famous “anything can happen” philosophy. Seth Rollins appeared poised for victory after taking Tonga out with consecutive Blackouts and planting Saints with another stomp. However, Austin Theory pulled the referee from the ring before a count could be made.
Moments later, Montez Ford brawled with Theory into the crowd, only for Bron Breakker to arrive and spear Rollins. Saints attempted to capitalize on the opening, but Evans struck first, connecting with his signature OG Cutter to score the pinfall victory.
The result sends Evans to the King of the Ring semifinals, where he is scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio on the June 15 edition of RAW. For a superstar many still view as a prospect, this victory may prove to be a king-sized breakthrough.
