AJ Lee reacts to a viral moment involving CM Punk from their early days together on WWE television.
A fan on X recently revisited a tag team match featuring AJ Lee and CM Punk. The bout took place on the June 11, 2012, episode of WWE RAW and saw the pair team up against Daniel Bryan and Kane.
Before the match, CM Punk gave AJ Lee a prep talk, prompting AJ to give the Straight Edge Superstar a kiss on the cheek. Punk would go on to secure the victory for his team after hitting Danielson with an elbow drop from the top rope.
The fan account pointed out that this was the first time Punk and AJ had teamed together on WWE television, reminding fans that the match took place 14 years ago.
The video eventually caught AJ Lee’s attention, leading to a brief but lighthearted response from the former Divas Champion.
“We cute,” AJ wrote.
More than a decade later, AJ Lee and CM Punk reunited as an on-screen duo when they faced Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at WWE WrestlePalooza 2025. AJ was last seen in action at WrestleMania 42 Night One, where she lost the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch.
A recent report noted that AJ is not expected to return to WWE television anytime soon. While no specific timeline was provided, the report stated that there are currently no immediate creative plans for her return. As a result, the date of her next WWE appearance remains unclear.
