WWE Evolve Star Exits Company on Her Own Terms

Another WWE exit appears to have quietly taken place. This time, it is a talent from the company’s developmental system. Masyn Holiday, who competed in WWE EVOLVE and appeared on WWE: Legends & Future Greats (LFG), seems to have parted ways with WWE after a few subtle social media changes caught fans’ attention.

Holiday joined WWE through the company’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program. She signed in December 2023 as part of WWE’s Next In Line initiative, which recruits college athletes with the potential to become pro wrestlers.

Before entering WWE, she competed in track and field at Howard University. After entering WWE’s developmental system, she reported to the Performance Center in 2024 and adopted the ring name Masyn Holiday. WWE later filed a trademark for the name in February 2025.

Masyn Holiday’s return to her real name raised questions about her WWE exit

Fans first noticed that Holiday had changed her Instagram profile back to her real name, Darci Khan. The account no longer used the Masyn Holiday branding tied to her WWE character. While WWE hasn’t officially commented on her status, similar changes have often signaled that a wrestler’s time with the company has come to an end.

The speculation was later supported by False Finish’s Cory Hays, who reported that sources confirmed Khan had recently left WWE. According to Hays, the exit was her own decision and not part of a company release.

Although she never became a regular on NXT television, Holiday wrestled in dark matches around NXT tapings and worked several events on the Florida house show circuit.

She eventually made her onscreen in-ring debut on the third episode of WWE EVOLVE. Holiday also appeared in Season 3 of A&E’s WWE: Legends & Future Greats.

During her EVOLVE run, she teamed with Layla Diggs and Nikkita Lyons as part of the group ROAR Records. Despite those opportunities, Holiday never moved into a featured role on weekly NXT programming, with most of her appearances focused on developing her in-ring skills and character work.

Now, with the Masyn Holiday name seemingly retired and her social media reverted to Darci Khan, it appears that chapter of her WWE journey has come to an end, at least for now.
