Jimmy Uso was notably absent from the June 19 edition of WWE SmackDown. A social media update may have explained why one-half of The Usos wasn’t in Kansas City for SmackDown.
Ahead of SmackDown from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, Jimmy shared an Instagram Story showing that he had boarded a flight to London.
A second post later featured a photo of Jimmy alongside his wife, Naomi, with the pair embracing in front of a waterfall. Jimmy captioned the image with a heart, offering fans a glimpse into his time away from WWE television.
Jimmy Uso absent as Bloodline story continues on WWE SmackDown
Jimmy’s absence came at an interesting point in his current WWE storyline. The former tag team champion has been heavily involved in the reunited Bloodline. Standing alongside Roman Reigns and his twin brother Jey Uso, the group continues navigating several ongoing rivalries.
In recent weeks, Jimmy has played a key role in the faction’s internal and external conflicts. He confronted LA Knight over comments directed at Roman Reigns. Jimmy has also remained involved in the growing tensions surrounding Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa.
However, none of that carried over to Friday night’s SmackDown appearance.
Without Jimmy at ringside, Jey Uso was left to focus on his own high-stakes challenge. Jey entered the King of the Ring semifinal match against Je’Von Evans with a spot in the tournament final on the line. The winner will advance to Night of Champions on June 27 to face Oba Femi and determine the 2026 King of the Ring. The winner of that bout earns a title shot at Summer Slam.
While WWE has not announced any storyline reason for Jimmy’s absence, his social media activity suggests he was overseas with Naomi rather than backstage at SmackDown.
For now, Jimmy’s time away appears temporary. There is no indication of a change to his standing within The Bloodline.
