Liv Morgan isn’t closing the door on making more music.
The WWE Women’s World Champion recently sat down with Jackie Redmond for the Countdown to Night of Champions series, where she discussed her debut single, “Trouble,” and whether fans could eventually see a follow-up release.
When asked what inspired the song and its music video, Morgan said she wanted to capture everything she loved about the Y2K pop era, drawing inspiration from some of the biggest female stars of the early 2000s.
“Yeah, I think I wanted it to be everything that I loved about early 2000s pop. Y2K. It was very much Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, the Pussycat Dolls, just women that I loved watching, loved being entertained by growing up, and I was able to channel that in the masterpiece that is ‘Trouble’ by Liv Morgan.”
Liv Morgan On Possibly Recording Another Song
Although she’s proud of what she accomplished with “Trouble,” Morgan admitted she’s not opposed to recording another song if the opportunity presents itself.
“You never know. I don’t know. I feel like I really knocked it out of the park with ‘Trouble,’ and I don’t know that. I feel like we have something great and maybe we just leave it where it’s at. But I’m not closed off to doing a follow-up.”
Morgan unveiled the music video for “Trouble” in the lead-up to WrestleMania 42. She later incorporated the song into her WrestleMania entrance, performing a live striptease routine before capturing the Women’s World Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
For now, however, Morgan’s attention shifts back to the ring. The reigning Women’s World Champion is scheduled to face IYO SKY later tonight in the Queen of the Ring Tournament Final at WWE Night of Champions.
