MJF has thrown down a massive challenge for Kenny Omega, but the proposed AEW World Championship match isn’t official just yet.
During the July 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, the champion offered Omega a title shot with a career-altering catch, leaving the former world champion with a huge decision to make.
The proposal came moments after MJF successfully retained the AEW World Championship against Mark Briscoe.
However, instead of celebrating for long, the champion found himself face-to-face with another top contender.
MJF wants Kenny Omega to accept Hangman Adam Page-style stipulation
Following his victory over Briscoe, MJF attacked his beaten opponent again with the Dynamite Diamond Ring before Kenny Omega rushed to the ring to make the save. Omega grabbed a microphone and challenged MJF to defend the AEW World Championship that same night.
MJF turned the request down. He reminded Omega that he had already defeated him twice and even kicked out of the One-Winged Angel. Just as it appeared he was leaving, the champion stopped and revealed what he called an “exploding offer.”
MJF proposed a title match for next week’s Beach Break edition of AEW Dynamite, but only if Omega accepted one major stipulation. If Omega loses, he will never be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
The condition is identical to the high-stakes agreement Hangman Adam Page accepted earlier this year. At Revolution 2026, Hangman put his championship future on the line in a Texas Death Match against MJF and lost, permanently removing himself from future AEW World Title contention. MJF is now attempting to spring the same trap on another former champion.
Later in the show, MJF continued to mock Omega backstage, insisting he had already beaten him twice and questioning whether “The Best Bout Machine” would have the courage to accept the terms.
For now, the match remains in limbo. Omega still has to decide whether chasing the AEW World Championship is worth risking his entire future in the title picture. If he accepts, Beach Break could become another chapter in MJF’s growing list of career-changing mind games.
