TKO Celebrates Historic WWE-UFC Doubleheader Across Two Countries

TKO Group Holdings is celebrating a milestone after successfully staging WWE and UFC events on the same day in two different countries.

The company highlighted the strong attendance and worldwide fan engagement generated by WWE Night of Champions and UFC Fight Night, calling the June 27 doubleheader a major success.

The back-to-back events took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Baku, Azerbaijan, marking the first time TKO had presented a same-night WWE and UFC pairing in the region. It was a one-two punch that landed with fans without either brand needing to tap out.

According to a press release issued by TKO, WWE Night of Champions filled Kingdom Arena in Riyadh with more than 18,000 fans. The premium live event also generated 186.8 million social media video views across WWE’s main platforms, including 74.2 million views tied to Sami Zayn capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Meanwhile, UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres drew a sold-out crowd of more than 10,500 at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. TKO noted that approximately 40 percent of ticket buyers traveled from outside Azerbaijan, with fans representing 72 different countries.

Commenting on the achievement, TKO Chief Financial Officer Andrew Schleimer said, “Demand for premium live sports and entertainment in the Middle East and surrounding markets remains incredibly strong.”

He added, “These events further underscore the near and long-term strength of the TKO business. They also reflect our continued commitment to delivering our live events in the region as planned.”

The company also reported that UFC Fight Night generated more than 612.9 million social media impressions and 297.3 million video views, while hometown favorite Rafael Fiziev defeated Manuel Torres by second-round stoppage in the night’s main event.

For TKO, the successful doubleheader represents more than packed arenas. The company said the events showcase its growing partnerships with governments and private organizations around the world, helping WWE and UFC expand into new markets while delivering major live experiences for fans. If this weekend was any indication, TKO’s tag team strategy is already proving to be championship material.
