Seth Rollins came out on July 6 episode of WWE RAW and cut a promo where he talked about all the accomplishments and accolades he and Roman Reigns have achieved over the years. But he also believed Reigns was always the “chosen one” and mentioned how much he disliked that. As he was continuing his promo, LA Knight suddenly interrupted.
The Megastar called out both Rollins and Reigns for always getting the spotlight. Knight said he was tired of seeing the same stars stay at the top while others, including himself, were pushed aside.
The segment added more drama to the road to SummerSlam. Knight made it clear that he was done waiting for his chance.
LA Knight says Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins keep getting in his way
Rollins opened RAW by talking about his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match against Reigns at SummerSlam. He looked back at their time in The Shield and said Reigns had always been WWE’s chosen star.
Seth Rollins said he spent years trying to prove he belonged on the same level as Reigns. He explained that while the OTC received big opportunities, he had to work hard for everything he achieved.
Before the Visionary could finish, LA Knight came out and cut him off. Knight said fans had already heard enough from Rollins and Reigns over the last two weeks.
He questioned why Rollins was getting another title match after losing in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. Knight pointed out that he also lost early but wasn’t asking for a championship match. He then joked that all Rollins and Reigns had to do was talk about each other to get title opportunities.
Knight then spoke about his own WWE journey. He said that whenever he started gaining momentum, someone stepped in and stopped him.
According to Knight, when fans were getting behind him, it wasn’t because of Reigns or Rollins. While he gave Cody Rhodes some credit, Knight said he was the one fans were really talking about.
He claimed The Bloodline slowed his rise with constant interference and numbers games. Then, just as he started building momentum again, Rollins and The Vision became another roadblock.
Knight accused Rollins and Reigns of always keeping the spotlight on themselves while making it harder for new stars to break through. But he also promised that he would keep fighting until he reached the top.
Rollins didn’t react with anger. Instead, he said he respected Knight’s hard work, even if he wasn’t a fan of him personally. He believed Knight’s big opportunity would eventually come.
He then reminded everyone that he wants to win back the World Heavyweight Championship, which he believes he never truly lost.
Rollins also had a warning for Knight. He said that if Knight wanted a title match after SummerSlam, he would gladly face him and be the first person he would put down as champion.
As Rollins walked away, Jimmy Uso quietly stepped into the ring behind Knight and hit him with a superkick, ending the segment.
