New number one contenders emerged on Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT. As a result, two title bouts are set for next week.
On this week’s NXT, Layla Diggs conquered Thea Hail, Lizzy Rain, and Izzi Dame in an NXT Women’s North American Championship contender’s match. Her win came after she landed a moonsault on Hail, then pinned her. Diggs has now earned the right to challenge Zaria for her title on the July 14 edition of NXT. The event will emanate from the WWE Performance Center in Florida.
Elsewhere on the show, the makeshift team of Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy secured themselves an NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity. They did so by besting DarkState, Birthright, and OTM in a four-way match. With the DarkState members being thrown into the steel steps and an OTM-Birthright brawl breaking outside the ring, Uriah Connors faced off with Dux and Legacy alone in it. Together, Dux and Legacy then double-teamed Connors with a pair of high-flying moves off the top rope to gain the pinfall. They will challenge Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes for the NXT Tag Titles next week.
NXT Women’s Title Contender’s Match
Also on the July 14 episode of NXT, Lola Vice, Kali Armstrong, and Kelani Jordan will battle in a triple threat to determine the next challenger to the NXT Women’s Championship. All three staked their claim to the title in Tuesday’s opening segment. All three then surrounded the reigning champion, Kendal Grey, after her successful defense against Nattie.
The announced lineup for next week’s NXT is as follows:

- NXT Women’s Title #1 Contenders Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Kali Armstrong vs. Lola Vice
- Naraku vs. Tate Wilder
