Kevin Owens appeared to hint at a WWE return in a recent social media post.
Amid his lengthy absence from WWE television, Kevin Owens sparked some speculation with a cryptic post on X/Twitter. He shared a picture of The Boogeyman holding his giant alarm clock. While he didn’t provide any context for the post, fans are speculating that Owens is teasing that the clock is counting down to his highly anticipated return to in-ring competition.
Kevin Owens hasn’t competed in WWE since March 2025
Kevin Owens last competed in a WWE ring at Elimination Chamber 2025, where he defeated Sami Zayn in an unsanctioned match. He was gearing up for a clash with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, but couldn’t compete due to a severe neck injury. He then underwent a successful neck fusion surgery in July 2025.
Owens stayed busy despite being out of action, serving as a coach on Season 3 of WWE LFG on A&E. He also made a special behind-the-scenes appearance during NXT Great American Bash last month.
The most recent update about Owens’ condition came in March 2026, stating that he will undergo re-evaluation this summer and that WWE is hopeful the former Universal Champion will return to the ring at some point this year. KO’s post suggests fans might see him back in the ring sooner rather than later, though nothing is confirmed.
Cody Rhodes recently brought up Kevin Owens’ name on television before he lost the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions. Owens shared an emotional message after Sami Zayn’s title win and also surprised him with a backstage visit. However, now that Zayn has dropped it to CM Punk in just nine days, KO, as he hinted in the post, might return to “get” Punk down the line.
