AJ Styles’ son, Avery Styles, is set to make his GCW debut.
Avery Styles (19), the second son of WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles, made his in-ring debut at a Squared Circle Action event on June 26, 2026. He performed his father’s famous slide under the guardrail and Phenomenal Forearm spot, and also hit the Styles Clash on his opponent, Ashton Martin, to get the victory. AJ Styles counted the pinfall.
Avery recently applied to trademark the ring name “Avery Styles,” and now, he’s set to make his debut for Game Changer Wrestling. The promotion announced on X/Twitter that he will make his debut at the GCW The Top Play event, which will be held at the Admiral Theatre in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 31. He will also compete at the Rude Awakening event at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 1.
AJ Styles commented on his son’s in-ring debut
Speaking on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, AJ Styles commented on his son’s in-ring debut, noting that it was much better than his debut.
“To see them do so well in a main event, I was blown away. If you have seen my first match, terrible. These guys did really well, and I’m so impressed with everything they’ve done. To see them put together that match and execute it so well, blown away,” Styles said.
“It was a simple story, told the way it should have, without so much involved that you couldn’t follow it. A lot of times, you put too much crap in one bag and try to fit it all, and you can’t. As fans, we can’t digest everything going on because there is so much going on. It was just enough of what they needed to see. As far as his debut, for him to pull off the springboard off the guardrail, little things like that, the timing, beautiful,” Styles said. [H/T Fightful]
