After sharing footage from her concert entrance on social media, the Grammy-winning artist pulled back the curtain on the wrestling influence behind the spectacle.
The reveal adds another chapter to Cardi B’s well-known love for professional wrestling. Nevertheless, the inspiration may surprise fans who only know her from music.

Cardi B first reposted a clip of her stage entrance that Chef Tacha originally shared with the caption, “She IS the drama! HELLLLOOOO CARDI!” She then followed it up by posting a video of Dave Bautista’s iconic WWE entrance, writing, “THIS WAS MY ENTRANCE INSPI.”
The comparison wasn’t accidental. Batista’s entrance became legendary during WWE’s Ruthless Aggression era for its dramatic pacing, explosive pyro, and perfectly timed bursts of fireworks. Rather than rushing to the ring, Batista would pause at the entrance stage, letting the crowd’s reaction build before unleashing his trademark pose in sync with the explosions.
Cardi B adapted that same formula for her Little Miss Drama Tour. Her entrance built anticipation in near silence before erupting into a wall of pyrotechnics as the opening beat of her music hit. Like Batista, she paused under the spotlight, soaking in the crowd before beginning the performance. It was a classic case of “playing to the crowd” — just without a wrestling ring.
The rapper has never hidden her passion for WWE.
