WWE Star Doesn’t Care About Fan Backlash Over Entrance Theme Change

Ethan Page has never been afraid to say what’s on his mind, and the WWE RAW star recently shared how he really feels about the backlash over his entrance theme change. While many fans were unhappy when WWE changed his music after he moved to the main roster, Page says he has no problem with it.

In fact, he believes the change was needed because fans had started taking over his entrance in a way that hurt his TV presentation.

Ethan Page says the theme change was necessary

Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Ethan Page explained why he supported the new theme and had a message for fans who didn’t.

During his time in NXT, Page’s entrance music became a fan favorite. Crowds would loudly chant “Ego!” as he walked to the ring. But Page said that those chants eventually turned into profanity, which created problems during WWE broadcasts.

He said the crowd got so loud that WWE often had to lower or mute the arena audio, making it difficult for viewers at home to hear the commentary or even his entrance music.

“Good! scr*w them. Dude it sucked. Everyone just wants to take everything and make it their own. Guys, this is professional wrestling. This is not some sing-song happy time. The way wrestling is now, music starts and everyone thinks that they have the right to play along, like it’s for them or something. But every wrestler has some catchy tune, everyone sings, so I come out, and everyone was going ‘Ego!’ right away, and then they turned it into ‘a**hole’, which you’re killing my entrance, especially on CW Network, where NXT is airing the whole time, where people are supposed to be talking about me, the commentators, legendary Booker T. Nobody’s hearing what he’s saying because the crowd is doing what they want. They are literally cutting the audio. I have full entrances where you can’t hear anything,” Page said.

Ethan Page believes the remixed version of “With A Smile” keeps the feel of the original while giving him a new presentation.
