TNA iMPACT starts now on AMC!
M By Elegance vs. Rosemary – Knockouts TV Title Tournament Match
- Heather distracts the referee on the apron, but Allie takes her out. However, M capitalizes on the distraction by splashing champagne in Rosemary’s face before rolling her up for the victory.
Winner: M By Elegance
Grade: B+
The best match of the Knockouts TV Title Tournament so far. M showcased exactly why she was personally signed by legendary Knockout Gail Kim, delivering another strong performance inside the ring. As for Rosemary, her character work continues to be consistently excellent, making her one of the division’s most compelling performers. With both members of the Elegance Brand advancing deeper into the tournament, it remains to be seen whether Heather and M will eventually face each other.
The System Backstage Promo Segment
The System addresses last week’s setbacks in a backstage promo. Alisha Edwards dismisses any speculation that the group is falling apart, insisting one bad night does not mean The System is finished.
Eddie Edwards echoes those comments, saying last week’s loss was merely a bump in the road and that one bad night will not undo everything the faction has built.
Brian Myers then turns his attention to Ricky Sosa, claiming the newcomer only defeated them because he got lucky in last week’s tag team match. Bear Bronson follows by warning Sosa that he has made a dangerous enemy, vowing to “break your ass in two” the next time they meet. He then escalates the threat even further, saying, “If Christmas comes six months early, I might even just kill you.”
Cedric Alexander shifts the focus to his upcoming X-Division Championship defence, promising to deal with Fabian Aichner and prove why he remains the face of the division.
Eddie closes the promo by declaring that, by the end of the night, everyone will once again learn that you can’t beat The System.
AJ Francis (with Expressions) vs. Moose
Francis goes for a reverse moonsault off the turnbuckle, but Moose catches him with a dropkick before following up with a superplex. Francis kicks out at two.
Moose then clotheslines Francis over the top rope and dives onto him at ringside. However, the momentum sends Moose crashing into Frankie Kazarian at the commentary table, spilling his popcorn. An irate Kazarian argues with Moose, who responds by knocking the popcorn bag out of his hand.
Back inside the ring, Moose sets up for a Spear, but Kazarian pulls him out of the ring and shoves him into the ring post, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Following the disqualification, Kazarian sends Moose back into the ring, where Expressions attempts to choke him out before Francis caps off the assault with the Down Payment chokeslam.
Backstage Segment ft. Elayna Black & Xia Brookside
Elayna Black says her focus is firmly on next week’s Knockouts TV Championship Tournament match against Wendy Choo. While acknowledging their shared history and expressing respect for Choo, Black makes it clear that nothing will stand in the way of her goal of reaching the tournament finals and ultimately winning championship gold. She boldly declares that she intends to become the greatest Knockout in TNA history.
The comments bring out TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside, who scoffs at Black’s claim. Brookside points to the championship around her waist as proof that she is the best Knockout in the company, noting that she has defeated everyone placed in front of her. She tells Black to focus on her match with Wendy Choo, stay in her lane, and watch what she says.
Black fires back by accusing Brookside of being intimidated by her before her first tournament match. She insists the champion is scared of what she represents and confidently tells Brookside that she is “quite literally everything that you will never be” before walking away.
Order 4 Gets New Member On TNA iMPACT
Mustafa Ali welcomes the “citizens of TNA” for his State of Order 4 address. He criticizes The Great Hands, John Skyler and Jason Hotch, along with Tasha Steelz, for failing to bring more championship gold to the faction.
Ali then announces a new addition to Order 4, introducing Mila Moore as the faction’s Secretary of Strategic Affairs. Moore makes her way to the ring as Ali officially unveils the latest member of his group.
On commentary, it is noted that Ali appears to be making a power move within Order 4 by bringing in Moore to help keep the faction accountable following its recent shortcomings. The commentators also point out the visibly unhappy reactions from Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler, suggesting they are less than thrilled about Moore’s arrival and the apparent shift in the group’s hierarchy.
Mila Moore thanks Mustafa Ali for believing in her and giving her the opportunity to join Campaign Ali. Calling it the opportunity of a lifetime, Moore says she knew she was the solution when Ali first approached her about the faction’s recent issues. She closes her remarks by declaring, “In Ali, we trust.”
Ali praises Moore before revealing the next step for Campaign Ali. He announces that the next challenger for the TNA International Championship will be determined through an International Vote, with the entire TNA locker room invited to vote next week for who they believe deserves a shot at his title. Ali says the best candidate should win before officially welcoming Moore to Campaign Ali and once again declaring, “In Ali, we trust.”
TNA Injury Report
Tom Hannifan provides the latest TNA Injury Report. Following the earlier assault by AJ Francis and Frankie Kazarian, Moose is undergoing a medical evaluation. Preliminary reports indicate he avoided any serious injuries, though he will continue to be monitored as a precaution.
Hannifan also reveals that Lei Ying Lee has been diagnosed with a head injury following last week’s No Disqualification Match against Xia Brookside for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Medical personnel have ruled Lee out of in-ring competition until she receives clearance, and there is currently no timetable for her return.
On a positive note, both Cedric Alexander and Fabian Aichner have been medically cleared and are deemed 100 percent fit for their TNA X-Division Championship match later in the main event.
Matthew Rehwoldt then lightens the mood by sharing a tongue-in-cheek update from TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, revealing that Nemeth recently set a “personal best for chin-ups while texting” and wants everyone to know he remains in “pristine physical condition.”
Huge Cinematic Match Teased On TNA iMPACT
The Righteous receive a message from The Hardys, who invite Vincent and Dutch to the Hardy Compound for the Righteous Deletion.
Ricky Sosa vs. Bear Bronson
Bear Bronson heads to the outside to create some separation, but Ricky Sosa cuts him off with a dive. Sosa then gets into a brief confrontation with Brian Myers at ringside.
Sosa attempts a springboard attack, but Bronson catches him with a choke bomb after Myers provides a distraction. Bronson looks to put Sosa away with a driver, but Sosa escapes and takes out Myers with a running uppercut on the apron.
Sosa briefly builds momentum, but Bronson cuts him off with a backbreaker followed by a driver combination to score the victory.
Winner: Bear Bronson
Grade: B-
A solid match that saw Bronson pick up the victory thanks to Myers’ interference. Sosa doesn’t necessarily need to rack up wins at this stage, as the focus should be on slowly building him as a potential future face of TNA.
Credit to Bronson as well for taking the Spanish Fly, especially given his size and stature. It was an impressive spot that helped showcase his willingness to put his body on the line.
Moose Wants To Walk With Elijah
Following the attack earlier in the night, Moose approaches Elijah and asks if he saw what happened.
Elijah confirms that he did, prompting Moose to suggest they team up next week to take out AJ Francis and Frankie Kazarian. Moose points out that Elijah has had his own issues with both men.
Elijah agrees without hesitation, telling Moose that there is no need to convince him and that the two of them will handle business next week.
Moose says that is exactly what he wanted to hear, adding that he is going to end this once and for all.
Harley Hudson vs. Thea Hail – Knockouts TV Title Tournament Match
Hudson connects with a right hand before following up by slamming Hail’s neck across her knee. Hail kicks out, creating a sense of urgency, but Hudson sets her up for a second-turnbuckle leg drop.
However, Hail evades the move and drops her entire body weight onto Hudson from the springboard to score the victory.
Winner: Thea Hail
Grade: B-
Another solid Knockouts TV Title Tournament match courtesy of Harley Hudson and Thea Hail. There was a minor botch during the match, but both competitors recovered well and kept the action moving.
As for the finish, I was hoping to see Hudson advance to the next round, but it appears TNA cannot escape WWE’s influence, and probably won’t, when it comes to creative and business decisions.
We Hear From Nic Nemeth
TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth makes his way to the iMPACT Zone and has some fun with the crowd on his way to the ring before addressing the fans.
Nemeth boasts that he is “the greatest professional wrestler walking the earth today” and says he is not just the TNA World Champion, but the best thing in wrestling right now. He claims the world is chasing him and that everyone wants a piece of “The Wanted Man” and the TNA World Championship.
After telling the crowd to acknowledge his greatness, Nemeth declares that everything he does inside the ring is unmatched. He says whenever the TNA World Championship is on the line, it becomes a major attraction, bringing big box office and big money.
Nemeth then welcomes any challenger who believes they have what it takes, telling them to line up for a shot at his championship.
KC Navarro Wants A World Title Shot Next Week On TNA iMPACT
KC Navarro interrupts Nemeth’s promo, but the TNA World Champion repeatedly cuts him off and tells him to leave the ring. As Navarro heads toward the back, Nemeth continues his promo and issues an open challenge, making it clear he wants a challenger who is ready for the spotlight.
Navarro stops on his way out and admits that Nemeth is right, but says sometimes the things you love do not always love you back. He talks about the struggles of his career, explaining that despite giving everything he has, he has often felt like he received nothing in return.
Navarro reflects on his recent setbacks, including losing his tag team title opportunity, his International Championship match, and his X-Division Championship opportunity. He says he always believed his career would have taken a better path and that he wanted to prove his doubters, including the people who bullied him, wrong.
Navarro tells Nemeth that the TNA World Championship represents the one thing that could finally validate him. After admitting he has lost a lot recently and has been dealing with those struggles internally, Navarro says there is one thing that would make him feel better: defeating Nemeth and taking his title.
Navarro then challenges Nemeth to put the TNA World Championship on the line against him next week, declaring that he is ready to prove he can become the TNA World Champion.
The Wanted Man Responds To The Challenge
Nic Nemeth responds to KC Navarro’s challenge by praising his “inspirational speech” but continues to mock him, calling him a loser.
Nemeth says he will speak with Daria and make the TNA World Championship match official for next week, but only under one condition. He tells Navarro that if he wants the opportunity, he needs to stop chasing him, stop calling him, and stop texting him.
Nemeth then raises the stakes, telling Navarro that if he gets his title opportunity and loses like he has in the past, he is done. Nemeth declares that Navarro will be out of his life for good and will never be able to bother him again.
Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Fabian Aichner – TNA X Division Championship
Aichner suffers a rough landing on the outside and is taken out with a Boston Knee Party from Eddie Edwards while the referee is distracted. Back inside the ring, Alexander connects with the Lumbar Check to secure the victory.
Winner and still TNA X-Division Champion: Cedric Alexander
Alexander and Edwards continue the attack on Aichner after the match, but Ricky Sosa rushes to the ring to make the save. Leon Slater then arrives to help clear the ring.
Aichner and Sosa send Alexander and Edwards over the top rope with clotheslines before Slater caps off the sequence with a dive over the turnbuckle, taking out both members of The System.
Grade: A-
Match of the night in my opinion. Fabian Aichner continues to prove why he is a future X-Division Champion. The things he is able to do inside the ring are simply incredible, and he has all the tools to become a major player in TNA.
As for Alexander, his X-Division Championship reign is off to a hot start. He has already delivered a strong run as champion, and we can expect plenty more standout matches from him moving forward.
Overall Grade: B+
A strong showing from TNA heading into Lockdown. Both Knockouts TV Title Tournament matches were solid, although I wasn’t a fan of the outcome of Harley Hudson vs. Thea Hail. Hopefully, decisions like these won’t make Hudson reconsider her choice to sign with the promotion because the finish had WWE written all over it.
AJ Francis vs. Moose delivered some fun moments, including the powerbomb on the apron and Francis countering Moose’s dive with a Spear. Frankie Kazarian was, as always, entertaining on commentary and added another layer to the segment.
I like the new direction of Order 4 with the addition of Mila Moore. Some might argue that Moore was lost in the shuffle following Tessa Blanchard’s departure, but credit to the creative team for pairing her with Mustafa Ali. Moore is a natural heel, and a potential feud between her and Tasha Steelz would be interesting to watch.
The KC Navarro promo reminded me of Nic Nemeth’s “that should’ve been me” moment. Navarro feels like a filler challenger for Nemeth, but it will be interesting to see if he can prove himself with the opportunity.
Finally, the TNA iMPACT main event was incredible, with both Cedric Alexander and Fabian Aichner showcasing their impressive movesets. Aichner may have taken the loss tonight, but he has all the potential to become the face of the X-Division one day.
That’s it for tonight. Thank you for reading, and I’ll be back with TNA iMPACT coverage next week.
