AEW’s Rebel Nominates Cody Rhodes, CM Punk And More After Taking Ice Bucket Challenge

Rebel is continuing to face her battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) with a positive attitude. A few weeks after opening up about her diagnosis, she took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness for the disease.

With Britt Baker by her side, Rebel completed the challenge and nominated several big names from wrestling and football, including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and a number of WWE, AEW, and NFL stars.

Rebel shared a video on social media after being nominated by former NFL player and ALS advocate Steve Gleason. She also thanked Chris Johnson for helping get the NFL involved in the campaign.

Before taking the challenge, Rebel encouraged everyone to help spread awareness about ALS.

“I have been nominated by Steve Gleason for the Ice Bucket Challenge. Chris Johnson has done an amazing job of getting the NFL to support him in this challenge,” she said.

She then called out a few people connected to the Dallas Cowboys, where she once worked as a cheerleader.

“Now, a lot of you might not know, but I cheered for the Dallas Cowboys. Now I’m nominating Troy Aikman, Deion Sanders, and Kelly, the director of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. I cheered for you when you played on the team, so now please be a cheerleader for me in my time of need,” Rebel said.

Rebel then challenged many wrestling stars.

“Now, let’s get down to the wrestlers. I nominate Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Nattie Neidhart, Charlotte Flair, Sting, Kenny Omega, Big Show, Beth Phoenix, and Cope. Let’s show them how wrestling community does it. Let’s go!” Rebel added.

Britt Baker stood next to her and poured a bucket of ice water over her head. Rebel screamed as the cold water hit her and started laughing.

Earlier this year, Rebel shared that she had been diagnosed with ALS. Since revealing her diagnosis, AEW has launched the Rebel Heart campaign to help raise money for ALS charities and spread awareness about the disease.

Many AEW stars have also worn Rebel Heart merchandise and publicly shown their support both on TV and on social media.
