WWE’s Seth Rollins Takes Part in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for Chris Johnson

Seth Rollins recently stepped away from the squared circle to support an important cause, joining former NFL linebacker Manti Te’o for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The video, shared by Good Morning Football, honored former NFL running back Chris Johnson while raising awareness of ALS.

While the challenge ended with plenty of ice-cold water, the heartfelt message behind it took center stage and showed a different side of the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins joins Manti Te’o to support Chris Johnson’s ALS fight

The video began with Te’o explaining why he and Rollins were taking part in the challenge, thanking Johnson for inspiring others through his strength.

“What’s up, everybody? It’s Manti Te’o from Good Morning Football, and I also have my brother, Seth Freakin’ Rollins. We are here to do the Ice Bucket Challenge on behalf of Chris Johnson. Chris Johnson, we love you. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your example, and we hope this helps just a little bit.”

Before taking the icy plunge, the pair had to nominate the next participant. Rollins didn’t need much time before naming his choice.

“I do,” Rollins replied when asked if he had someone in mind.

Te’o then wondered if they had picked the same person, prompting Rollins to respond, “I think it might be the same person. I think it is. Kyle Brandt.”

Te’o officially passed the baton by saying, “Kyle, you’re up, bro. Okay, let’s do this, shall we? We love you.”

The duo then completed the challenge, helping shine a spotlight on ALS and Chris Johnson’s campaign to revive the Ice Bucket Challenge, which first gained worldwide attention in 2014. Sometimes the biggest pop doesn’t come from inside the ring, and Rollins proved that using his platform for a meaningful cause can be just as impactful as delivering a Stomp.

Whether Kyle Brandt accepts the challenge remains to be seen, but Rollins and Te’o have already helped keep the movement rolling and the conversation surrounding ALS alive.
