Kyle Fletcher has addressed one of the more unusual trends surrounding his online popularity. He finally commented on how he and fellow AEW star Skye Blue respond when fans circulate slow-motion GIFs of him on social media.
Rather than letting the posts get under his skin, Fletcher says the pair has developed their own way of handling the attention.
The comments come as the AEW International Champion prepares to defend his title against Bandido at AEW Redemption.

Speaking to TV Insider, Fletcher reflected on the internet’s fascination with him and Skye Blue, including fans creating and sharing GIFs and clips from their matches.
Instead of reacting negatively, Fletcher said the two often send the posts to one another and find it hilarious.
“We get to share them with each other and kind of laugh about it. We go, ‘Look at this thing that someone just put on Twitter. It’s my ass in slow motion butt jiggling.'”
He added that the situation is so bizarre it has become funny rather than frustrating.
“‘Isn’t this so weird and ridiculous?’ Then we laugh about it, and then we just forget about it.”
Fletcher admitted there have been times when online content may have bothered either of them, but he credited honest communication for helping their relationship remain strong.
“Open communication in any relationship… is number one, the most important thing.”
The 27-year-old explained that if something crosses a line, they discuss it immediately instead of allowing it to become a larger issue. As a result, he no longer spends much energy worrying about strange behavior on social media.
“It happens so frequently now. It’s just a part of our business… There’s no point trying to expend too much mental energy on it.”
Outside the ring, Fletcher and Skye Blue have been together for nearly four years while balancing demanding wrestling schedules. Inside the ring, Fletcher continues to build momentum as one of AEW’s breakout stars and enters Redemption looking to retain the International Championship against Bandido. It seems the online chatter may never stop, but Fletcher isn’t selling for it outside the ring.
