Raw Ladder (12/7): Titties Go Up, “Little Members” Go Down

ON THE SAME STEP
Kofi Kingston

Even though the focus last night was on Sheamus – and that’s where it should have been – I think they could have done a better job putting Kofi over than they did.  Up to this point, his push has been nearly flawless, but it’s because they’ve made him into a serious character with a one-track mind of beating Orton.  They seemed to get away from that a bit last night.  After being beat down by Orton and Legacy last week, vengeance should have been the only thing on his mind and he just seemed too “happy” last night.

Along with Sheamus, I think this Sunday is a very significant match for Kofi as well in determining his long-term success as a main event player.  I feel he needs a win more than Orton does and I’m afraid the WWE may think they’ve done enough to get Kofi over at this point.  Personally, I’d love to see the Kinston/Orton feud extended further than this weekend, but with the Rumble next, they probably won’t.  Both will enter the battle royal and likely head in different directions following that pay per view.
