Tons of Live News From The Hulkamania Tour: Arrivals & More!

Thanks to Antonio Pilone for sending in this live report from this morning’s events in Australia as talent prepares for the "Hulkamania" tour to kick-off tomorrow:

Hope all is well in the states. Just back from the airport today and was

very surprised with how the morning turned out. Here is an early rundown of

today so far –

– Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair & Eric Bischoff arrived at Melbourne airport at

9.30am local time. I believe Hulk’s new girlfriend & Flair’s wife were with

them.

– There were around 50 – 80 wrestling fans waiting for photo & autographs,

which Hogan & Flair signed & posed for photos with everyone that asked.

– The rest of the roster arrived an hour later including Ken Anderson & Lacey

Von Erich who were not at the Press Conference on Wednesday.

– The whole group seemed in good spirits for the tour and guys like the

Nasty Boys & Ken Anderson said they couldn’t wait to perform tomorrow night.

– Eric Bischoff confirmed to me that the Sydney show was being taped and

broadcast for the One HD channel in Australia.

Note – I have seen the commercial for the Hulkamania Tour on One HD and it

states it is being screened in December (no date was mentioned). This marks

the first big wrestling event (Of a ppv type show) to be screened in

Australia on free to air TV since WWF Royal Rumble 1990 in February 1990

(WWF ppv was on a 2 week delay at that time) which is a huge achievement for

Eric Bischoff & co as WWE, WCW or TNA have never achieved this.

Also note all WWF / WCW / TNA TV programming began on cable in late 1995 til

present. Only Survivor Series 1998 was shown on prime time on Channel 10

(One HD sister channel) in late 1999 but the show was edited to fit the 2

hour timeslot. Otherwise all other recap shows like WWF Superstars in late

1999 / 2000, WCW (Nitro 1999) and now WWE Afterburn were shown after

midnight.

Hulk is currently doing a few radio interviews today to hype tomorrow nights

show but nothing note worthy has been said so far. He is scheduled to do one

more TV interview as far as I know on the Channel 10 tonight on a variety /

news type show called ‘7pm Project’ should anything news worthy be said I

will report it.
