Raw Ladder (11/2): One Young Talent Certainly Goes Up A Step

DOWN A STEP: Overall Show

I just feel like Raw has talken a step back over the last couple of weeks.  Last night wasn’t the worst wrestling show on television I’ve seen, but it was nothing more than okay.  I guess I get frustrated when they appear to be on the verge of seriously allowing room for young talent to grow and although they are still able to do that in the future, they don’t seem to be taking full advantage now.

Kofi should have gotten the win in the tag match last night to solidify him further as a serious challenger to Orton.  At the same time, they need to continue teasing the DiBiase split from Legacy.  They need to be subtle attempts, but they haven’t done anything with that over the past two weeks since DiBiase and Orton had that great segment a couple of weeks ago.

On the flipside of that, last night was better than last week for the Miz/Swagger/Bourne angle, although I really don’t know if I’m supposed to be putting Bourne in that equation or not.  Sheamus also continued his dominance in a very effective way.

However, the guest host idea has got to go.  Either that or they have to pick and choose who they bring in.  Or they have to simply coach them better.   I’m okay with all three options, but the Osbourne’s last night were another example of how bad this concept can make the overall feel for the show.  They were clueless.

I guess Ozzy at least has a reason for being that way.  I’m not sure what Sharon’s excuse was…
