WSU MATCH

WSU World Championship Match

(c) Mercedes Martinez vs Jessicka Havok vs Hailey Hatred

Special Referee: Angel Orsini

(Note: This match will be on early, so make sure not to be late if you’re coming just for the WSU match)

In a match set-up at the WSU 8/14 "Spirit Tournament" show, WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez will put up her championship in a triple threat match against Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred. To make matters more interesting, former WSU World Champion, Angel Orsini, will be special guest referee.

This match was booked by NWS commissioner Gino Moore, after Havok & Hatred violently attacked Mercedes Martinez after the Golden Trios Six-Woman Tag Team Match on 8/14. In a surprise twist, Angel Orsini was the voice of reason, and broke up the attack!

The story of Angel Orsini is an interesting one. While Orsini has the claim to being the longest & most defending champion in WSU World Championship Title history, Orsini spent the better part of two years feuding with Martinez over the WSU World Championship.

As a result of her loss in the epic and historic IRONWOMAN match against Martinez, Orsini can never get a WSU World Title shot again while Martinez is champion. If it wasn’t for that stipulation, Orsini would most likely be a participant in this match.

Ever since the loss, Orsini has aligned herself with Rain. In a role reversal of earlier this year, it is now Orsini who will help Rain win the WSU World Title, as Rain has promised Orsini first crack at the belt if Orsini helps her wrest it away from Martinez.

However, Orsini has shown a mutual respect for Martinez ever since the Ironwoman match. Rain was not happy when she heard the news about Orsini saving Martinez on 8/14. With Rain highly ranked in the WSU World Title contender rankings, you have to wonder if Rain is also rooting for her rival, Martinez, to retain the championship. If Martinez retains on 8/21, Orsini will still need Rain to get a chance at the belt. However, Orsini could go into business for herself, and perhaps strike a deal with Havok or Hatred and help them win the championship.

We have seen ever since the IRONWOMAN match that Orsini has more respect for the championship than anything else. Could Orsini fast-count Martinez down and change the course of WSU or is Orsiini above that? We do know that Orsini wants nothing else but to become a 2-Time WSU World Champion and it can all start this Friday night.

If that’s not enough for you, one must wonder how Orsini will react with Havok & Hatred, as we might possibly see Orsini & Rain taking on Havok & Hatred for the WSU Tag Team titles on 8/22, if Orsini & Rain can defeat Alicia & Carter.

Another question to ponder is has Martinez taken on way too much? In the last month alone, Martinez defended the championship in Australia, wrestled to a 20 minute draw with #1 contender Nikki Roxx and competed in a grueling 6-woman tag. If Martinez is able to win this match, will she have anything left when she takes on #1 contender Nikki Roxx on 8/22???

One thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment in WSU and competition is at an all-time high.
