National Wrestling Alliance News & Notes for 8-3-09

6) Bo Newsome defeated Mike Posey via pinfall after a roll-up. It
appeared Posey was more occupied with chastising official Dee Byers
than his opponent, and he paid the price.

7) Hate Junkies (Dany Only & Stryknyne) / Entourage (Andrew Alexander
& Mike Moseley) w/ Jay Clinton & Mercedes Moseley  vs. Rowdy Friends
(Don Matthews, Jessco Blue & Wild Bunch – Chris King & Billy Buck) was
ruled a no contest after the referee lost control of the match, but it
was the post match scene that got ugly. Matthews, Blue & The Hate
Junkies fought to the back and Jay Clinton assisted Alexander &
Moseley by distracting Billy Buck while they gave Chris King a spike
piledriver. This was a frightening moment as King was carried out on a
stretcher to seek medical attention, with officials fearing the worst.

8) Talent & Money vs. New Wave was left without an official ruling, as
The New Wave pinned JT Talent in the first fall with the Unskinny Bop,
Talent & Money pinned Steven Walters in the 2nd fall after Pendleton
hit a low blow behind the refs back, and on the 3rd fall New Wave were
going for The Double Vision, which was countered and it turned into a
double superplex that ended with both Derrick Driver & JT Talent’s
shoulders pinned to the mat. Referees argued over just exactly who was
pinned, and it was later determined that NWA authorities would review
the tape, and an offical decision regarding the status of the tag team
titles will be announced on August 15th.

NWA Anarchy Young Lion’s Champion Malachi joined Greg Hunter for a
brief in ring interview, accepting Sexton’s challenge 8-15-09 and
vowing to shut his mouth.

Wrestlevision showed an interview with NWA Anarchy Heavyweight
Champion Jeremy Vain talking to a man off camera, whose shadow was all
we could see, it appeared he was making the "Claw" gesture. Vain told
him to continue to be patient, and that everything would pay off soon.

9) NWA National Champion Phil Shatter w/ Jeff G. Bailey defeated via
Truitt Fields via pinfall after the PTSD in a Boot Camp Match. Both
men showed up in their army fatigues with Shatter painted up
"Commando" style, and this was an all out brawl, with a majority of
the action taking place anywhere but the ring, but the bout could only
end via pinfall in the ring and any other rules were out the window.

Just a few of the highlights saw a ladder and a few folding chairs get
involved, and Shatter hit a brutal running powerslam on Fields on the
floor. Shatter removed his steel toed combat boot and attempted to
finish off Fields, but Truitt was having none of it as they struggled
for possession of that weapon. Once Fields had firm control, he went
to put the finishing touch on the National Champion but The Unholy
Alliance (Devil’s Rejects/NWA Elite) hit the ring. Fields cracked TV
Champion Shaun Tempers, Skirra Corvus & Kimo with the boot but turned
around too late as Shatter was waiting with the PTSD for the 123.

After the match Bailey & The Rev ordered The Alliance to destroy
Fields, but Ace Rockwell & Mikal Judas joined the fight to even the
odds. This introduced Tank who took control of this fight back over
for The Unholy Alliance, and just as he was about to finish Rockwell
with the Heartpunch, Jerry Palmer led down the ramp, the returning
ICEBERG!!!! With the 450 pounder joining the fight, the fan favorites
cleared the trash from the ring.

Ace Rockwell grabbed the mic, and tried to turn it over the NWA
Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer, who simply stated…"You were part of the
original team Anarchy are the captain of this team…. you tell ’em".
Rockwell said he was given the pleasure of announcing that on August
29th in the return of War Games: The Match Beyond it would be Team
Anarchy 2009 (Mikal Judas, Rockwell, Fields & Iceberg w/ Jerry Palmer
in their corner) vs. The Unholy Alliance (Tank, Tempers, Kimo &
Shatter w/Bailey & The Rev in their corner) which delighted the
Anarchy fan base. Rockwell said but that was on August 29th, and they
still had to get through August 15th. He said it was an Anarchy
tradition to do what’s become known as a "Coin Toss" match, and that
match will determine which team gets the advantage in War Games, and
Palmer had given him the match as team captain, and he also let him
pick his opponent and Rockwell said it was no secret that he wanted
Shaun Tempers in the ring one more time.

Notes:
So we now know, the main event of Hostile Environment 2009 will be the
return of War Games with Team Anarchy taking on The Unholy Alliance.
We also know that at Hostile Environment, the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight
Championship will be defended, there will be some sort of resolution
to the tag title situation, most likely stemming from the decision
made on August 15th, and The NWA Anarchy Young Lion’s Championship
will be defended in a special elimination style 4 Way Dance, with 3
qualifying matches occurring on 8-15-09. Also on August 15th’s TV
Taping, Rockwell vs. Tempers in the Coin Toss Match, Jeremy Vain
defending the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Championship against Truitt
Fields, Todd Sexton vs. Malachi, and the remainder of the Hostile
Environment card to be announced.
