As Jeremy Borash Twitted (or is is Twittered?) yesterday TNA’s Hernandez has been cleared by his doctor to return to the ring. Hernandez has not been in a ring since January, and plans ring work-outs prior to his return to TNA TV, PPV & House Shows.
While rehabilitating from neck surgery he also has been working on a diet, so should return to TNA in the best shape of his career.
Hernandez LAX partner Homicide has not been seen in quite a while in TNA. He suffered the loss of his father not that long ago which may be part of the reason. However, additionally, it appears he may be under a "double secret probation" that is occasionally imposed by TNA creative, after a rumored blow-up or two with creative team members, much as The Motor City Machine Guns were at one time after refusing to blade for a TV spot with Team 3D.
Plans were for Homicide to focus on the X Division while Hernandez focused on the Heavyweight division. I believe that in storyline, Hernandez was promised a TNA Title match prior to his injury.
Not sure what creative at TNA plans now for the two, or whether Hernandez will be written into the next TV tapings June 23-25, or return after that. It is possible those shows have already been written without knowing he would get a doctor’s release.
