GCW returns on October 2 to the GR8 SK8 Plex in Phenix City, AL. As a special gift to the loyal GCW fans, all tickets will be $5, first come first serve for ringside seats. The advertised card includes: Champion vs. Champion: GCW Heavyweight Champion Micah Taylor (with Tracy Taylor) vs. GCW Interstate Champion Sonny Siaki. Johnny Swinger vs. Cru Jones. GCW Tag Team Champions “That 80’s Guy” John Bogie & Kareem-Abdul Jamar will defend the titles against a team of Princeton Gainey III’s choosing. A crowd of 121 was in attendance at the Bremen Rec Center in Bremen, GA, on September 27 for the Peachstate Wrestling Alliance show. In a match for the Southern Cruiserweight title, The Ultimate Dragon defeated Johnny Rage to retain. “Action” Mike Jackson defeated The Bounty Hunter by DQ after interference from Dany Only. Bob Armstrong defeats The Bounty Hunter. â<80><9c>Road Doggâ<80> B.G. James defeated Dany Only. Ace Rockwell defeated J.T. Talent.

American Championship Wrestling was in Loxley, AL, on September 12. Aeon Flexx & Dominion defeated ACW champion Nathan Crown & Ryan Fury. In an arm wrestling match, Marcel Pringle defeated Percy Pringle III. The Ricky Rocket vs. Carlos D’Angelo ended in a double countout. Joe Gibson defeated Josh McKain. Austin Aims defeated Tony Love. The Invasion defeated Maze & Vortex. SDM defeated Energy Crisis.

ACW will be at the Loxley Municipal Center in Loxley, AL, on October 24. New Heights Wrestling presents “Beware of Dogâ<80> on October 25 at the National Guard Armory in Florala, AL. Advertised: In a no DQ match for the NHW championship, Mr. Fantasy defends vs. “Road Dogg” B.G. James. In a pink slip match. NHW Commissioner “BTY” Colby Godwin vs. “Future Legend” D.J. Pringle w/Danny Jack, with the loser leaving NHW. If Pringle wins, Dandy Jack becomes new commissioner. “Pretty Boy” Donnie B vs. “Fantasy Inc.’s Muscle” Michael Steel. For the NHW Cruiserweight title, Milo defends vs. Chief Little Bear. This will be Chief Little Bear’s last chance at the title. In a triple threat to determine the #1 contender for the Cruiserweight championship, “Human Highlight Reel” Scotty Rayz vs. “Definition of Technician” Chris Tighe vs. “Evil” Billy Rayz. In a tables match between “Dead Pool Leader” JT Angel w/Xtreme G vs. “Florala’s Hometown Boy” Gutter. The match can become a match for the DSHW championship if Angel is still the champion. Freddie Blassie had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Don McIntyre on September 16, 1955, in Atlanta.

It is unclear as to how Kurt Von Brawner came to be recognized as Southern Heavyweight Champion. However, he had been billed as such at different times throughout 1957 in Atlanta, Marietta, and Augusta. The separate offices seemed to be in dispute about who they wanted to recognize for most of the year, but it appears to have settled itself, as Von Brawner appears to be the undisputed champion around this time.
