Sunny Wins Title, More On WWE/NBC, SNME, & More News

Despite the writers’ strike, which has halted production for a number of television shows, NBC currently has no plans to air Saturday Night’s Main Event on any Saturday up through March. WWE’s contract with NBC Universal calls for two SNME’s a year.

You can view the programming schedule for WWE 24/7 in January at WWE.com. The month will feature the first episodes of WCW Monday Nitro, Monday Night Raw, Prime Time Wrestling and Tuesday Night Titans. They will also feature the first Royal Rumble from 1988, not to mention “Black Saturday” in 1984, which is the day Vince McMahon and his WWF took over the Saturday night time slots on Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) that had been home to Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW). January will also feature the Raw debuts of Triple H, The Rock, Santino Marella, Umaga, Batista, Eric Bischoff, JBL, Chris Jericho, Ron Simmons, Goldberg and Mickie James.

Former WWE star Chris Masters made his return to the ring at last week’s IGF show in Japan. He wrestled Ryuji Yanagisawa. Masters wrestled under the name ‘Chris Moore’.

Damian Demento has posted up some more videos on his YouTube account, including a really bizarre one about Damian Demento “dying.” In a video he did over the weekend, he said he was going to close the account sometime this week, and then he posted a video of him “dying” that looks like a wrestling vignette. Although, he posted a new rant today at this www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI0IDEqvYbQ, so maybe the videos will continue. It should be noted that he’s largely acting in these videos. A number of people who have e-mailed him about whether the videos are real or not say that he’s admitted to playing a character in them.
