A former ECW World Heavyweight Champion is now working at a Target department store, and no, it’s not Justin Credible. In a brief commentary on the official website of Shane Douglas, Douglas notes that he is currently in the manager training program at a Target store in New Brighton, PA. He’s says that he misses performing in front of wrestling fans, but that he doesn’t miss the wrestling “business.” He also takes aim at two Pro Wrestling Torch writers for reporting that he was released from TNA earlier in the year for having a relapse. Douglas then says, “Sorry to say but the “sad” and “boring” truth is that I, Troy Martin, have had no relapse or taken any kind of drug or pill since my rehab last year.”
Dawn Marie will be making appearances three days in a row from 11/16 through 11/18 at the Big Apple Con at Penn Plaza Station in New York City.
The Sandman will be making his debut in the EWF on Saturday December 15, 2007. Sandman will be available for autographs & polaroids prior to the EWF event that evening and during intermission. Dr. Phil Astin, the doctor for Chris Benoit that has been charged with illegally distributing medication to several patients, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on October 1. Astin is still expected face additional charges as the investigation continues into his medical records.
WWE Films’ “The Condemned” DVD dropped to #6 on the rental charts, which was down from #4 the previous week. The DVD has grossed $11.12 million via rentals so far, so it has been a much better success than its theatrical release.
