TNA ended up not making a play towards women’s wrestler Sarah Stock aka Dark Angel from CMLL. They were just looking for five bodies to fill in spots for Knockouts Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory, as opposed to having an idea to find or create some new female star. Also, Stock lives in Mexico City, so there was no point in going through the trouble to getting her into the U.S. for what was probably going to be a one-time appearance.
Gail Kim is generally regarded as the girl they’re going to build the TNA women’s division around as the top babyface. The aftermath of the the Knockouts Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory will likely have her as champion or being the one to chase it. If the belt doesn’t end up around her waist at Bound For Glory, it will probably end around the waist of either Jackie Moore or Roxxy Laveaux, who are considered to be the two other favorites in the match.
