Thanks to Jason Saint for sending in the following:
Live at The Davis Arena (4400 Shepherdsville Road) in Louisville, KY.
Taped on August 3rd, 2011, to air on August 6th, 2011.
Dark matches:
- Raphael Constantine defeated Jarrod Sloane by roll-up.
- Alex Silva defeated Nick Dumeyer by pinfall after a running raised knee.
- Christopher Silvio (w. Mo Green) defeated Dylan Bostick by submission with a crossface.
TV Taping:
- Backstage, Adam Revolver is approached by Ted McNaler, who demands a match against Revolver at the Saturday Night Special.
- The TV taping began with Christian Mascagni and Mike Mondo coming to the ring, calling out Jason Wayne. Mascagni accused Wayne of cheating Mondo out of his title shot. Johnny Spade came out and said he was the rightful number one contender, and wouldn't mind if Wayne took out Mondo "tonight!".
- Backstage, Adam Revolver was shown pacing, interrupted by Shiloh Jonze. Adam was shocked, asked what Shiloh was doing there. Shiloh said he was just there to say goodbye. Revolver left, then we saw Raphael Constantine attempting to get a signature from Christian Mascagni. Mascagni said he had his back, and the camera panned to Christopher Bolin talking to Raul LaMotta about Randy Terrez, telling him that Bolin Services 2.0 had his back.
- Paredyse defeated Lennox Norris to retain the Television Championship. During the match, Raphael Constantine entered the arena to picket about him being the "rightful TV champ".
- The Blossom Twins and Smothers' Twisted Daughters defeated Taryn Shay, Solo Darling, CJ Lane, and Epiphany.
- Mike Hayes came out to the ring to talk about how August 6th, 2006 was when his leg was taken in an explosion during his time in the army. He says he was the only one who survived, and that he would make sure that he would get his prosthetic leg back from Mohamad Ali Vaez at the Saturday Night Special. Very emotional promo, the crowd was stoked on Hayes.
- Backstage, Shiloh Jonze is shown talking to his boots, saying they might make a "good door stopper". Off camera, we hear a voice yelling "YOU CAN'T QUIT! YOU'RE DOING GREAT! YOU'RE ALMOST THERE! OH, YOU'RE THE BEST!" Shiloh reacts excitedly, says he IS the best, and he's gonna prove it in a match "TONIGHT!". When the camera panned up, we saw Taryn Shay come from behind a curtain with Benjamin Bray. Both looked disheveled, fixing their clothing. It was obvious that the voice we were hearing was Taryn's, and she WASN'T talking to Shiloh!
- Shiloh Jonze defeated Randy Terrez by countout. During the match, Raul LaMotta distracted the referee while Moose and Rocco came out, giving Randy the boot/sweep on the outside. After the bell rung, B.S.2.0 started jumping Randy, when out came The Fat and The Furious with Jumpsquat Joshua Johnson to make the save, with weapons in tow.
- Backstage, Jamin Olivencia was talking into the camera when Rudy Switchblade came up to talk to him. He reminded him of the no-touch clause. Jamin said he was ready for the SNS, that he was going to destroy him. Rudy laughed, handing his coffee to Elvis Pridemoore. Rudy talked a bit to Jamin, then smacked Elvis on the back, knocking him toward Jamin thus slinging hot coffee all over Jamin. Jamin was legitimately angry here, as the coffee was steaming before thrown.
- Ring Of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Davey Richards defeated "Sexy" Sean Casey by submission. Sean Casey is a former OVW superstar, who looks to be in great shape!
- After the match, Richards talked about how great OVW was, and that on October 1st, 2011, Ring Of Honor would be returning to the Davis Arena!
- Jason Wayne and Mike Mondo went to a no-contest after interference from several superstars. As the match pressed on, several of Mascagni's goons (Raphael, Andreas Rossi, Brandon Espinosa, Aiden Young, etc) came out to distract Wayne, which prompted Johnny Spade to come out and make the save. After Wayne and Spade cleared the ring, Wayne turned into a superkick from Johnny Spade. Things are heating up right before the Saturday Night Special, this Saturday at the Davis Arena!
Post-show dark match:
- The Fat And The Furious, Ryan Howe, and Jumpsquat defeated Brandon Espinosa, Aiden Young, Adam Revolver, and Jamin Olivencia.
From a personal standpoint, this show was phenomenal. Not only were the matches great, but the crowd was really into it. There had to have been about 300 people in attendance! Saturday is the Saturday Night Special, and that will probably be insane. Too much crazy stuff going on in OVW!
Biggest pops:
- Jason Wayne
- Mike Hayes
- Davey Richards
Biggest heat:
- Mike Mondo
- Bolin Services 2.0
- Shiloh Jonze
