The following is a statement from Canada’s CWI pro wrestling promotion:

Wrestling fans, we regret to inform you that Kevin Nash will not be with us for the Invasion Tour of the Maritimes.
As most fans are aware, Kevin Nash recently returned to World Wrestling Entertainment. Nash has been under contract to WWE for several months and was free to work elsewhere as long as WWE wasnt in need of his services at that time. Nash competed in the main event for CWI this past May without any issue.
CWI waited until the eleventh hour before making this announcement in hopes that something could be worked out.
We apologize for this inconvenience, but all of us here at CWI are confident that we will put an outstanding tour.
Although the CWI roster is still packed with legendary names, we are currently adding additional superstar talent to once again prove that CWI always provides the best fan experience at any live wrestling event.
