TNA Slammiversary Results (6/10) – Two Championships Change Hands, First HOF Inductee Revealed, Top Star Returns

Dixie Carter comes to the ring with security, and she asks how everyone is doing before announcing tonight’s crowd is the largest US crowd in their history. She says there are so many people to thank, including most of all the fans, and they love the word ‘wrestling’ and are very proud of it. She says they have the best wrestlers in the world, then she invites the locker room to come out to the stage to acknowledge their efforts. Dixie says announces Sting as the first TNA Hall of Fame inductee, then they show a highlight clip of his TNA career and Dixie hugs him as he comes to the ring.

Dixie says Sting gets the same great response everywhere they go, and Sting became their icon and stepped up when they were a struggling company. She says he helped for a year and she continued to get him to come back, and she thinks he is doing his best work yet and keeps reinventing himself. Dixie says she won’t keep him much longer so he can prepare for his match, but the formal induction will take place at Bound For Glory. Sting thanks all of the fans and the wrestlers, then he says he has given everything he has to entertain them, but tonight he knows it will be showtime.

Gail ducks under the ropes to avoid Brooke, then she attacks her when the ref backs Brooke off but Brooke sends her out of the ring. Brooke attempts a baseball slide dropkick but Gail catches her and slams her into the mat, then she rolls in the ring and Brooke drops her with a clothesline. Gail blocks a bodyscissors slam by snapping Brooke’s head on the ropes, then she punches her in the face and hits a shoulder breaker for a two count. Gail smashes Brooke in the head and chokes her on the ropes, then she taunts the fans and Brooke surprises her with a neckbreaker. (Cont’d…)
