Matt Hardy

WrestleZone.com reader Lekisha F. Oliver sent along the following …

Over 700 Crossfire Wrestling fans filed into the McMinnvile Civic Center on Saturday, September 1st to see a wonderful benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The fans saw the beginning of the event with Caleb Konley hitting the ring to face off against Johnny Davis. The two high-flyers of Crossfire Wrestling started off the main show with a top notch match. Davis would walk away with the victory over Konley.

The Diamonds in the Rough hit the ring next to face off against the Hot Shots. While the match was supposed to be a tag team submission match, the match was downgraded to a normal match. But this would not stop the Crossface and gave the victory to Cassidy Riley and Chase Stevens. The Diamonds in the Rough, David Young and Sigmon, are not happy with the victory by Riley and Stevens. What will happen with these two tag teams?

The Ladies of Crossfire Wrestling came out next. Maria Kanellis, Crossfire’s Creative Director of the ladies division, called on three of the best women wrestlers. With Reby Sky vs. Jessicka Havok vs. Allysin Kay being on the card, these three ladies brought on a hard fought battle with all three women showing that they belong in the best women’s division. Reby Sky would pick up the victory, but Jessicka Havok showed that she is going to continue to be a thorn in the side of Kanellis. With Havok leaving Kanellis and Sky lying, Kay and Havok walked away from the ring. Have we a new alliance forming in the ladies division?

The teacher vs. student match was up next. With Ricky Morton taking on his student Kid Kash, it was a true learning match for any wrestler. Morton and Kash brought on a true clinic with Morton picking up the victory over Kash. But Jerry Lynn would have his interference costing Kash the match and putting out a match challenge of his own for the November 3rd show in Nashville: a Russian Chain match! Will Kash accept the match against Jerry Lynn?

A new number one contender was chosen in the next match. Chris Masters and Carlito Colon took their match to another level. With both of these wrestlers having been to the top and have tasted gold, now they have fought for the victory.

Carlito Colon would pick up the victory over Masters.

Hammerjack vs. 2 Tuff Tony was nothing short of a true brawl. The McMinnville Street Fight was a brutal battle between the two men. Having brawled all over the Civic Center, the fans of McMinnville saw that Hammerjack was not going to back down from 2 Tuff Tony. Mark Anthony would make his presence felt in the match by chairshots giving Hammerjack the win. What will happen between these men and will 2 Tuff Tony be bringing in more Juggalos to take out Hammerjack?

The Crossfire Heavyweight Championship match would be hitting the ring for the Main Event! Champion, “King” Shane Williams, took on former WWE superstar Matt Hardy in his first title defense since winning the belt in August. Williams showed that he had enough experience to know what and how to defend a title successfully. Williams would hit the piledriver for the victory. While Williams would continue to bad mouth Hardy after the match, Hardy would take his revenge against Williams by hitting the Twist of Fate. Hardy demands a rematch in the future for the Crossfire Championship.

Crossfire Wrestling will be heading back to Nashville for their first 3D/HD television taping on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
