Monday Night Raw continued to draw poorly against the NFL this week, coming it at a final cable rating of 2.79. This is technically up just slightly from last week's 2.78, but when you factor in total viewers and percentages from each demographic, it's almost exactly the same.
The advertised main event segment for this week was a WWE Championship contract signing, between CM Punk and an opponent of Vince McMahon's choosing; between Ryback and John Cena.
It is worth nothing that Raw isn't the only wrestling program experiencing fall season ratings drop. TNA Impact has seen poor ratings recently on Thursday nights as well, even going into their Bound for Glory pay-per-view. Furthermore, several popular non-wrestling related programs have been bringing in low ratings as well, as they continue to dip lower every year with the increased presence of Netflix, Hulu and illegal downloading.
