TNA Impact Wrestling Results (5/1) – Willow vs Storm, Bully Calls Dixie Out, EY’s Next Defense

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Bobby Roode vs Eric Young (c)

Roode hits Eric a few times but Eric dropkicks him outside, then he hits a sliding dropkick that sends Roode into the guardrail as we go to a break. We get back to see Roode stomp Eric on the mat, then Eric hits some forearms and a clothesline before taking Roode down with a belly-to-belly side slam. Eric splashes Roode on the floor, then he gets a near fall but Roode counters the roll up before Eric goes for a crucifix pin. Roode kicks out and hits a spinebuster, then he goes for a Roode Bomb but Eric counters and goes for a springboard crossbody.

Roode ducks and measure for an axe handle smash, but Eric hits him on the way down and follows with a piledriver for two. Eric can't believe it and heads up top, but Roode crotches him on the ropes and hits a Roode Bomb for a very close near fall. Roode is also in shock, and they both get up and slug it out before Roode hits an enziguiri. Roode sets Eric on the top rope, going for a Roode Bomb, but Eric blocks it and they go punch for punch again. Eric knocks him down and hits a top rope elbow drop, then makes the cover to retain.

Winner – Eric Young
