Cesaro vs Big E (w/ Kofi Kingston)

Cesaro hits a quick German suplex, then he charges the corner but E catches him with a side slam and tackles him off of the barricade. Cesaro whips him into the barricade before E beats the referee’s count in, and Cesaro double stomps him and slaps him while taunting him. E comes back with a press slam, but Cesaro breaks free and clotheslines him before trying to slam him back down. E hits a belly-to-belly and a shoulder ram, then he hits another belly-to-belly and follows with a big splash. E calls for the Big Ending but Cesaro rolls outside, then E goes after him but Cesaro snaps his head on the ropes and tries to get a chair. Kofi tries to stop him so Cesaro throws a chair at him, then he tries to swing at E with a second chair. Kofi runs over and rips it out of his hands, then Cesaro turns and E hits a Big Ending for the win.

Winner – Big E

BP: I wouldn’t mind seeing this play out as a longer feud. They are really hyping up this battle royal and doing a pretty good job of it.

Chris Jericho comes out and says he’s seen it all here in WWE, but Bray Wyatt is an anomaly and wants to know why Bray is targeting him. He says they can get crazy at Battleground, then Bray cuts him off and says people with small minds get beat down and they transform. Bray says he remembers when Jericho says he would save them, but he’s been to war with great men, then he asks if Jericho is afraid of the dark. He blows out the lantern, then the lights go out and Jericho is surrounded by Harper and Rowan, so Jericho tries to fight them off, but changes course and retreats. Jericho backs away but Bray runs out and clotheslines him on the stage, then he picks him up and hits Sister Abigail before leaving.

AJ Lee vs Eva Marie

AJ pulls Eva’s hair and taunts her, then Eva kicks her outside and throws her into the apron. Eva stretches her in the ring and hits a backbreaker, then she whips AJ but AJ comes back with the Black Widow for the tap out win.

Winner – AJ Lee

BP: That was a really odd match. The whole thing is built around Paige and AJ being ‘frenemies’, but something just felt off. Paige, who was on commentary, continued to praise AJ, but I’m waiting for one of them to snap sooner than later.
