This week’s WWE Raw rating is in, and wrestling’s flagship show delivered a 2.69, which is the single lowest number of 2014. As we reported earlier, this week’s viewership was actually up by a bit more than 1%, but WWE had to be expecting a much better final number with the return of Dean Ambrose, an advertised main event between John Cena and Randy Orton, and Monday’s show being the night after a PPV.
Raw’s biggest competition continues to be Monday Night Football. This week they were up against a decent match-up with the Chicago Bears and the NY Jets, but another factor was the TV season premiere of The Big Bang Theory, which will remain on Monday nights until October 30, plus the series premiere of Gotham, and the return of several other shows including The Voice.
