Roman Reigns On His Hernia Injury Being Life Threatening, His Reaction To The Shield Split & More, Ring Announcer Thanks Edge & Christian

roman reignsRoman Reigns On His Hernia Injury

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was recently a guest on 106.9 The Fox, a radio station based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, while promoting this week’s WWE tapings in the area. You can read a few notes from the broadcast below, and listen to the entire interview in the player after the text:

Reigns talks about his sudden hernia injury and said he could have died if he didn’t make it to the hospital in time. He says he was dealing with the pain and almost got used to it, but couldn’t deal with it anymore, and being sidelined let him heal up some other nagging injuries as well.

Reigns says he was actually kind of shocked that WWE split up The Shield considering how much they had invested in the group at that point.

He praises the work in FCW / NXT and says he had an easier road to WWE than some because of his family, but he doesn’t expect anything to come easily and won’t get discouraged if it doesn’t.

Announcer Thanks Edge & Christian

WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel thanked Edge & Christian for letting him do the ring introduction for the duo on RAW Monday Night.

For those that don’t know, Chimel was infamously known for his voice cracking during Edge’s “Rated R Superstar” introduction, and it became a running gag.
