Big Update: Jeff Hardy’s Lockdown “Injury” Not Legitimate, Details on Why TNA Planned the Injury Spot *Minor Spoiler*

jeff hardyAs we noted over the weekend, Jeff Hardy took a nasty looking bump during his match taped for the TNA Lockdown special on Friday night. The spot, which you can watch video footage of at this link, saw Hardy hit the steel steps very hard after he fell from a steel cage, and TMZ later reported Hardy was legitimately knocked out.

According to PWInsider.com Jeff Hardy was not legitimately hurt during the spot, and it was in fact TNA’s way of writing Hardy off TV for awhile as he cannot travel to The UK with the company for the upcoming Impact tapings.

The cage spot was executed exactly as planned, and TNA will use Hardy’s story line “injury” to explain why he will miss several weeks of TV being taped in The UK next month.

It’s worth noting Matt Hardy did announce he will be working the UK Impact Wrestling tapings.
