As we have been reporting, WWE Main Event will not air next Tuesday as per usual on the WWE Network, due to contractual conflicts with Sky Sports. Dave Meltzer is now reporting that the show may not return to the streaming network for “several months”, as the two sides have been unable to resolve the issue.
The WWE Network presents a problem for Sky, as they have exclusive broadcasting rights to Main Event in the UK. Right now, the Network is one continuous stream being sent out all over the world, and there has been no geo-blocky technology put in place to switch certain things off in specific regions. This may have been one of the hurdles that forced the original WWE Network delay back in November.
Fans still wanting to catch Main Event each week can still watch the program on Hulu. There has been no official statement by WWE at this time.
