WWE 2K15 Out-Selling the Previous Generation; When Will 2K Roll Out Details For This Year’s Game?

wwe 2k15WWE 2K15 has officially passed up sales of WWE 2K14, and by a fairly respectable margin as well, despite mixed reviews.

The release of the game on the PS4 and XBox One is a big part of the reason why; this was the first game in many years created from the ground-up for a new generation of video game consoles. Bringing in Sting as a part of the game, and having him debut just after release at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, as well as Black Friday deals and holiday sales in the same window likely all played a factor as well.

Perhaps more importantly, there was a massive push for WWE 2K15 on weekly television, and the company was everywhere promoting the game for months prior to release. I’ve been following wrestling games for nearly 20 years, and I’ve never seen a company go as deep into promotion for one of their annuals as I did in 2014.

2K Sports is expected to be on-hand at E3 from June 16-18 to reveal the first details for WWE 2K16.
