Earlier last month, Kurt Angle had announced on the Mark Madden show that he would be taking a break from wrestling after his current TNA contract runs out in January.
Angle had said at the time he would not re-sign with the company, but he also ruled out himself pursuing a deal with WWE or another company as well. Angle recently made an announcement for a fan fest appearance for Bellator MMA, but has not been on TNA television since being written off after the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

Angle spoke with Cult Of Whatever while promoting his upcoming ‘Golden Truth’ Q&A tours, and readdressed his TNA status. Angle is still being advertised for the TNA Maximum Impact tour, which would be his final appearances for the company on his current deal. Angle reconfirmed his plans, revealing TNA did still try to bring him back, but he is still moving forward with plans to take time off and spend it with family.
After the tour in January I’m going to take a break from wrestling and I’m not sure what I’ll do after that, I’m leaving the door open. That will be my final tour and what a fitting way to end my time in TNA is to go to the UK and to be able to perform and wrestle in front of those great fans in Manchester, London and Birmingham.
I’ve talked to TNA and they’ve offered me something and asked me to think about it which I will do but I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time with my family and then see where it goes from there.
