AJ Styles & Chris Jericho Backstage Segment:
Renee Young asks AJ Styles about his WWE debut and his Raw debut tonight against Chris Jericho. Styles says he didn’t just make headlines last night, he turned the WWE Universe upside down. Chris Jericho interrupts and he says he knows who AJ is. He has been waiting for Styles to come to the WWE. AJ Styles is the hottest free agent and has done a lot around the world and won a lot of championships, but you never won here. Jericho says that you get to make an impression tonight against the six time World Champion Chris Jericho. Tonight it’s AJ Styles vs. Y2J. Jericho welcomes Styles to the big leagues and gives him a tap of respect.
Third Match: Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles
Jericho with a side headlock to Styles. Styles with a deep armdrag to Jericho. Jericho connects with a back elbow to Styles. Styles with a running clothesline to Jericho. Styles drives his elbow to the back of Jericho. Jericho drives Styles to the corner and proceeds to chop him in the chest. Jericho with a springboard dropkick off the second rope that sends Styles to the outside. Jericho with a delayed vertical suplex for a one count. Styles with right hands to the ribs of Jericho. Jericho with a boot to the face of Styles. Jericho with a missile dropkick off the top rope. Styles with chops to the chest of Jericho. Jericho and Styles runs the ropes and Styles connects with a dropkick that sends Jericho to the outside. Jericho knocks Styles off the ring apron and rolls him back into the ring.
Coming out of the break Jericho applies a chinlock. Styles with back elbows to the ribs of Jericho. Styles and Jericho collide into each other double crossbody’s. Styles with right hands to Jericho. Styles with a running forearm to Jericho. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Styles escapes the hold. Jericho with a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count. Styles with a backslide for a two count. Jericho connects with the enziguri for a two count. Styles with a springboard forearm to Jericho for a two count. Jericho locks in the LionTamer and Styles reaches the bottom rope. Styles with the Pele Kick to Jericho. Styles goes for the Frog Splash and Jericho rolls out of the way. Jericho goes for the Lionsault and Styles gets his knees up. Styles goes for the Styles Clash and Jericho counters with a roll up for a two count. Styles rolls Jericho over to pickup the victory. After the match Jericho and Styles shake hands.
