In today’s WrestleTalk News, Sasha Banks reportedly labelled “injury prone” by Vince McMahon, talk of a top NXT act getting called up to the main roster and Dixie Carter hints at bringing recently released WWE stars to TNA.
Sasha Banks Labeled Injury Prone
First, we’ve got some bad news for fans of “The Boss.”
Usually, being compared to Daniel Bryan would be the highest of compliments. Unfortunately for Sasha Banks, though, not this time. According to the Wrestling Observer, Banks has been compared to Bryan in that she is “injury prone,” at least in the mind of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Banks was reportedly originally planned to face Charlotte at this year’s Summerslam for the Women’s Championship. Following Vince’s potential hesitancy over her recent concussion, though, could put that push in jeopardy.
This isn’t necessarily the end for “The Boss,” but, for the time being, she might be placed on the back burner as far as the Women’s Division goes.
Top NXT Team Getting Called Up Soon?
NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha could be the next in line to get called up to the main WWE roster.
According to the Wrestling Observer, the duo were originally pencilled in to debut later this Autumn, but their call up could have been brought forward due to the impending brand split.
It could end up being a last minute call, however, as talent are often left in the dark until just days before being told the good news. Or bad news. It depends how you view getting jobbed out on Raw.
For example, according to the Observer, the Vaudevillains were planned to debut after Wrestlemania for weeks before the event, but they weren’t actually told until the day before.
