Al Snow recently participated in a shoot interview with Hannibal TV, and you can check out a highlight of the interview below, during which Snow addresses Cody Rhodes leaving WWE.
Snow talks WWE talents being independent contractors and not employees, which means talents cannot get “fired” from WWE. Snow adds he is happy for Rhodes because he was able to leave WWE on his own terms, and Rhodes leaving the company doesn’t mean he can’t return.

Snow adds that talents in pro wrestling, much like any product, have shelf lives with fans, and sometimes if pro wrestlers are in a place they don’t want to be in, they can leave, go somewhere else, and can always return when the time might be right. Snow compares Cody Rhodes’ current situation to that of AJ Styles when he left TNA Wrestling, and says when Styles left TNA it was the best thing he could have done for himself at that time:
