Update On WWE Bringing Back Past Stars, What Brands They Could Go To, Edge Gets New TV Role, UFC Owners Reportedly Looking To Buy NFL Team

As noted earlier, WWE is reportedly looking to bring Jinder Mahal back to the company, and is one of the several former stars likely to return.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting Mahal will likely appear on RAW; it was also said Brian Myers was another name likely to return, and he would probably use his former ‘Curt Hawkins’ name on Smackdown. MVP has denied a return to the company after his name was mentioned by Teddy Long on a podcast, and Stevie Richards is expected back, but these remain unconfirmed. 

WWE is reportedly looking to bring back some past talent to help work with and put over newer talents; Rhyno and Shelton Benjamin are two of the confirmed names to return as Rhyno made a live appearance and a promo for Benjamin aired on Smackdown this week. 

The Fertittas 

UFC owners The Fertittas are reportedly looking to put up land in Las Vegas to build a football stadium in hopes of attracting a NFL team. It had been previously rumored that Lorenzo Fertitta was looking to sell hotel properties on the strip to purchase and fund a stadium. 

Edge 

Deadline.com is reporting Adam “Edge” Copeland is the fifth season of the History Channel’s series ‘Vikings’ in a recurring role. According to Deadline, Copeland will play “Ketill Flatnose, a fierce and brave warrior, chosen by Floki to be one of the leaders of the Viking party intent on traveling to Iceland to set up a community there.”
