WWE NXT star Shinsuke Nakamura recently spoke with Brian Fritz at the WWE 2K17 media event, and during the interview Nakamura talks about why this was the right time for him to join WWE, his upcoming match with Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, his debut against Sami Zayn, hitting the waves in Florida, Kenny Omega and the 2016 G1 Climax, the WWE 2K17 game and more.

On WWE 2K17, Nakamura says the detail in the game is too real, and he added he wants to play himself against Brock Lesnar or Andre the Giant.

On joining WWE earlier this year and leaving NJPW, Nakamura said WWE approached him in 2014, but he wanted to complete what he was doing in NJPW. Once he completed that, he said he needed a change in wrestling and in his life, so he came to WWE. On being fulfilled, Nakamura says you only live once, and so now he thinks he is doing good in WWE.

On his WWE debut match against Sami Zayn, he thanked the fans for already knowing him when he came into NXT, and that really helped him in his WWE debut.

On facing Samoa Joe, Nakamura says he knows Joe from back when he was training. But this is the first time facing him on TV, and it will be exciting because Joe is special and knows real technique.

Nakamura goes on to talk the NJPW G1 Climax, Kenny Omega and more:
