Sami Callihan
Lucha Ilimitado has announced Sami Callihan will face former WWE / TNA star MVP at the launch of Lucha Ilimitado on October 12 at the Yakima Valley SunDome in Washington.
Lucha Ilimitado posted the following:
Former NXT star Sami Callihan has signed on to face former WWE U.S. & IWGP Intercontinental champ MVP at the Yakima SunDome on October 12.
This isn’t the first time these two have battled. They faced off three years ago at Tommy Dreamer’s “House of Hardcore 2” in Philadelphia with MVP winning after a series of kicks to the head.
A lot has changed since that match though. Callihan, with renewed aggression, is now considered one of the hottest properties in wrestling and is looking to avenge that blemish on his record. The elite MVP, however, has no plans to be Callihan’s stepping stone.
The debut card for Lucha Ilimitado will also feature the previously announced Alberto Del Rio versus Rey Mysterio match, along with:
- El Hijo del Santo & El Santo Jr. vs Juventud Guerrera & Psicosis (Nicho)
- Jeff Cobb vs Fenix vs Jonathan Gresham vs Sonjay Dutt for the Corazon de Oro championship
- Su Yung vs an opponent to be announced and more
