Prince Ali Injured

CWC Competitor Injured at Indie Wrestling Event

Prince Mustafa Ali, who competed in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic, was injured at this weekend’s AAW event in Chicago. Ali was in action against Rey Horus (Dragon Azteca in Lucha Underground) and took a hard bump into the barricade.

He was knocked out, the referee called off the match and officials came out to check on him. It was a scary couple of minutes as Ali was barely moving, but they were able to revive him and he ended up walking out with help from the referees. Ali came back out later in the night to apologize to the Chicago crowd, and said that he suffered a “minor concussion” during the match, and would be out of action for a few weeks. A rematch between the two was set up for a future AAW event.

WeeLC II Going Down at House of Hardcore

Back in 2014 WWE ran a match called “WeeLC” between Hornswoggle and El Torito, complete with small versions of tables, ladders and chairs. Despite the general consensuses that the match would be a disaster, not to mention wildly offensive for everyone involved, it was actually much better than expected, and garnered nearly universal praise online.

Now, two years later, the House of Hardcore promotion run by Tommy Dreamer is going back to the well with “WeeLC II”. Both Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) and Mascarita Dorada (El Torito) competed in the match this weekend, on a show that featured Dreamer taking on Broken Matt Hardy in the main event, with none other than hardcore legend Terry Funk and Senior Benjamin in their corners, respectively.
